Ever wonder what classes you take in medical school?
Regardless of which type of medical school you wish to pursue (DPM/MD/DO) all three entail 4 years of medical school that will require clinical rotations for hands-on application of the information covered in the didactic coursework listed below. Typically, students will take the didactic courses in the first 2 years of school. The remaining 2 years will consist of clinical rotations. Depending on where you decide to go to school, the manner in which the material is presented may be different. Furthermore, the incorporation of didactic and clinical coursework is varied where some programs may start clinical rotations prior to the last 2 years of school. However, the subjects covered will be similar across the board.
What are didactic courses?
These are just classes that are considered basic science courses...pretty much anything that is NOT clinical.
